Elisa Everett

ROMANCE AUTHOR

ABOUT ME

I write romance books for late bloomers, for folks who understand the angst of growing up amid religious orthodoxy or diet culture and have had the courage to deconstruct. I write for the high-masking types who long to let themselves be seen. My goal is to bring humor and whimsy and swooning to some decidedly heavy experiences.

I have a PhD in English and live in the Bay Area with my husband, an orange tree, and lots of books.

Comps: Jenny Howe x The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives

CASTAWAYS

Tropes: A second-chance, fake-dating, reality-TV romance featuring the forced proximity trope.

Hooks: Features a fat, neurodivergent protagonist who’s navigating religious deconstruction and healing from family estrangement while surviving on a tropical island.

Comps: Christina Lauren x Survivor
